Every terminal, every site, one console
Fingerprint, face and card terminals send each punch to LanaTime 7.5 the moment it happens. Register devices by area, send employees to them, and keep an eye on every terminal from the browser.

Devices connect over the network to the LanaTime device service. Each punch is sent as it happens, and the device regularly asks for waiting commands — so every branch can report to one central server.
- Real-Time Data Upload, or a fixed transmission time and refresh interval
- Each device has its own time zone, so branches in different zones are recorded correctly
- Punches appear under Attendance › Transactions, ready to calculate
Connecting a device
- Add it in LanaTimeDevice › Device Management › Add: name, serial number exactly as the device shows it, port (4370), area and time zone.
- Set the network on the deviceCOMM. › Ethernet: IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS and port.
- Point it at LanaTimeADMS (cloud server setting): the server address and port of the LanaTime device service.
The device connects on its own and shows its status, model, firmware and counts. You can add as many devices as your licence allows (System › About).
Employees go to the devices of their area
Each device belongs to an area — a branch, building or site. LanaTime sends the employees of that area to it, including fingerprints and photos already stored in LanaTime, so staff can punch at any terminal in their area.
Fingerprint
Face & photo

Which credentials an employee can use depends on the terminal model. Biometric Details shows each employee's stored templates; Upload BioPhoto adds a photo for face devices.
Manage terminals without walking to them
Tick one or more devices and choose a command. Commands are queued and carried out the next time the device checks in — follow them in Commands Monitoring.
All commands in the device guide| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| Send Employee To Device | Sends chosen employees, with fingerprints and photos, so they can punch there |
| Upload Transactions Again | Asks the device to resend its punches when some seem to be missing |
| Refresh Device Info | Updates model, firmware and user, finger, face and transaction counts |
| Enroll Fingerprint By Device | Starts fingerprint enrolment for an employee on the device |
| Delete / Block Employee | Removes people from a device or blocks them (Block List) |
| Reload System, Reboot | Restarts the device software or the device |

Real-Time Monitoring
Punches as they arrive: person, time, work code, device and area. The page refreshes by itself.
Commands Monitoring
Every command sent, with send and response times — a command without a response hasn't run yet.
Device Logs
Messages from the devices, for example "Device uploaded N user data".
Dashboard status
Devices online and offline at a glance, and an optional "device offline" notification to administrators.
Messages on screens
Public messages for everyone on chosen devices, or private messages shown to chosen employees when they punch.
USB import
If a device can't reach the server, export its punches to a USB stick and load them with U Disk Import.
Punches from the phone, only where you allow
MobileApp Accounts decides who may use the LanaTime app and with which role. GeoFence sets the places where mobile punches are allowed — a name, a distance in metres and a location pasted from a map.
- Location punches carry the location and, when required, a selfie
- Approvers review them under Approvals › Location Punch
- Employee or Administrator role in the app
